Food was okay, except for the hard schnitzel for me.

Great place to enjoy quality food in the area. Love the genuine ambiance there, the owner makes you feel welcome. So good to have such a place. Highly recommended!

Sympathetic restaurant, good concept with a nicely designed, heated outer tent. Ate good potato soup, cake looked very good. Will be tested again more extensively.

We were just disappointed. Bad service and the cake unsavory, unattractively presented and way too expensive. Then there is also the fact that no corona rules were observed (e.g. a note to enter). We cannot recommend this restaurant and we were sad to have dinner there.

We feel ripped off, children's schnitzel is over, but senior schnitzel is still available for over € 4 more. The lettuce was sandy and was declining. 4 children had served their seniors schnitzel and over half an hour later the parents still did not receive their schnitzel. In the meantime, however, at least two more tables were provided with food even though the guests arrived later. And this was probably not due to too many audiences; the food is a matter of taste. We went there based on several recommendations and were not convinced.

The food is really very good ... However, the service is also very important to me, which is why it only gives it 2 stars. Friendliness is unfortunately not so important here. With the soup we like to only serve a knife and fork and forget the spoon despite the advice. Food easily 4 stars ... The service unfortunately only 2.

What a nice place and what a delicious meal in the last corner of the Taunus .. But hides a pearl .. I have rarely eaten such a good salad and the deer goulash is said to have been a dream .. Thank you very much .. We will be back.

Onion schnitzel with french fries and salad ... beer was great, salad good, french fries good, onion burnt, meat dry, chewy, was also elongated u. Round, is not known to me as a schnitzel shape ....

Very inflexible to occupy the table. Were there at 5pm after a hike and wanted to have a drink, there were still a few tables outside but all with a card reserved. On request, if we could only have a drink, the waitress told us that it would not work, as it was reserved for 6pm. Then you'd better leave the tables unoccupied for an hour - very annoying if you hike there and in the end have no opportunity to drink anything even though there would still be enough space

First only three stars for the wonderful location. Big food is only available from 5 p.m. and we had already enjoyed enough cakes that day. The quiet Wispersee is nearby.

This is the best restaurant far and wide ... we are always well served and there has never been a reason for criticism ... It is cooked with great attention to detail..the decoration on the plate and in the restaurant are always great. .. it is always offered a vegetarian dish .. the beer garden is a highlight in summer ... holiday feeling pure .. The service is always attentive and fast ...

It's rarely to find such a good German restaurant. The trout is amazing tasty and you can taste it's freshness. Definitely recommend!

Great German cooking sometimes with a twist

Unexpected good local food at a hidden and quiet place in the middle of beautiful nature. Awesome 'Biergarten'. Try the Wisper Forelle (local fresh trout). Yestday for lunch we was there again. We got Sauerbraten and Wild Boar. Great.
